Is this the Hop on Hop off service?
We operate a hop on hop off service, this means your ticket will be valid for 48 hours or 24 hours depending on what ticket you have purchased. Meaning on the City&Beatles Tour you and hop on and off at any stop and get picked up 1 hour later (in the winter it is ever 2 hours), On the Multilingual City Tour (which your Beatles and City Tour ticket enables you to use as well) you can hop on and off and expect to get picked up 20 minutes later (30 minutes in the winter). All you need to do is keep hold of your ticket stub and show it to the driver as you are getting on the bus.
Are the buses accessible for those with a wheelchair?
As of January 2017 all of our public service vehicles are accessible to any wheelchair user. The only time when you may need to ask is if you are part of a group that has private hired a bus for the day. For any other access needs please view our access statement,
I have a child under 5 years of age, do they have to pay?
Children under 5 may get on the bus for free. This is at the drivers discretion and they are advised to exercise caution and use common sense to assess the age of the child. Please do expect our driver to question this, as they are required to do this and can face serious consequences if they are found to be letting people on the bus without a ticket.
Can I hop on at any stop?
Any stop that is a Liverpool City Sights stop, this will be clearly displayed in the bus stop. Any stop that is not our own our drivers can't stop at under any circumstance. It must also be said that it can only be at a bus stop that we can on load and offload customers, This means our buses once they have left the stop can not be flagged down.
I have a voucher, what must I do to redeem it?
Any vouchers or special offers must be redeemed at the Pier Head. We have a box office on Canada Boulevard at the Pier Head, this is where you are to redeem any vouchers that we deem valid at that particular time. If you try to get on at any other stop with a voucher the driver is advised to not accept it. On occasion we do allow the transport of a couple of stops to take you to the Pier Head for redemption, but this is for those who may have access needs. Please contact the office if you have any access needs or special requirements.
Can I get on at the Albert Dock with a voucher?
As of summer 2017 we have had a member of staff on the dock who is able to redeem vouchers, but this may not always be the case in the winter. We still strongly advise going to our box office on the Pier Head to redeem your voucher, even if you will get second choice of seats.
Can we reserve seats on your tours?
Currently you can't reserve seats and they come on a first come first serve basis. The first stop is at the Albert Dock and we have had issues with capacity due to how popular our City&Beatles Tour is. We recommend getting there early and showing respect to those who are waiting at the bus stop before you.
We are currently working on a system that will allow you to pre-book seats for our tour. This will hopefully be in place by 2018.
When is the first and last bus?
The first tour of the day is at 9.50am and leaves from the Pier Head. The last tour is at 4.50pm and leaves from The Pier Head, the bus then terminates at The Albert Dock at approx 5.35pm.
